Free Microsoft Office Web Apps: August 2010 - In addition to the release of Office 2010 (see below), Microsoft have added
Office Web Apps (similar to
Google Docs), so if you have a Hotmail account or Windows Live ID, simply log in and click on the Office link at the top. This allows you to move files to the "Skydrive" (an online "disc" with 25Gb free space), and edit them with online versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint or OneNote. Windows XP support: April 2010 -Please be aware that support for some versions of Microsoft Windows XP and Vista is ending. If you are using Windows Vista with no service pack, it ended on 13th April 2010, and for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 it will end on 13 July 2010. These systems will no longer officially be supported by Microsoft, and will not receive Windows Updates after these dates, but they will carry on working in their current states.
